Hello everyone! My name is Maya Smith and I am an Admission Counselor here at Illinois College. I am from Belvidere IL, which is about 20 minutes away from Rockford IL. I graduated from Illinois College in May of 2024, achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (writing concentration). While pursuing my degree I played basketball for Illinois College for 4 years. In addition, I was also involved in several clubs like Drumline, Trio, FCA, and NSLS honor society. From the beginning, IC has welcomed me with open arms and afforded me a lot of opportunities. I am super excited and grateful to be back at my alma mater. My recruitment territory includes northern Illinois including Boone, Carroll, Dekalb, Kane, Kendal Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Will, Winnebago counties.
